As Summer begins, many of you will be planning outdoor activities for your students. Here at Mash.ie, we’ve put together some ideas to help you incorporate fun and educational activities about summer into your lesson plans.

1. Have your students create a Summer-themed art collage. Ask them to use materials from nature such as leaves, twigs, and flower petals to create a colorful and creative piece of art.

2. Go on a nature scavenger hunt. Have your students explore their surroundings in search of natural elements such as rocks, feathers, and shells. Once they have discovered the items, have them identify them and talk about their characteristics.

3. Have your students make their own suncatchers. Ask them to use items they can find on the ground to create a beautiful and vibrant suncatcher.

4. Have your students create a Summer-themed board game. Ask them to come up with their own game rules and challenges related to summer activities such as swimming, camping, and fishing.
