Welcome to Marine Week! 🌊

From the smallest plankton to the largest whale, our seas are filled with sea life. Here are five ideas for teaching about marine life in the classroom:

1. Have the students create a marine life mural. Give each student a part of the mural to create and then have them come together to build the mural. This will help students to better understand the different types of marine life and how they interact.

2. Take a virtual field trip. Have students research different types of marine life and their habitats. Use Google Earth to learn more about specific habitats and how they are impacted by climate change.

3. Have the students create a model of a coral reef. Have them research different types of coral and other marine life that inhabit the reef. Have them build a model of a reef to better understand how different species interact.

4. Have the students create their own marine creature. Have them research different adaptations that help animals live in the water. Then have them create their own creature with the adaptations they have researched.
