It can be hard to know where to start when it comes to wellbeing in school. It’s not much good working on complicated ideas to get started because that’s not ok for your wellbeing. We thought of 5 really simple ways you can get started without much effort!

1. Wellbeing Walk – Have the students take a walk around the school grounds and identify areas where they think wellbeing can be promoted. They can then discuss ideas on how to make these areas more inviting and welcoming.

2. Wellbeing Activities – Have the students create a list of activities that promote wellbeing. They can then create a wall or noticeboard of these activities that they can refer to when needed.

3. Wellbeing Awareness – Have the students research wellbeing initiatives that have been successful in other schools. They can then bring back this knowledge to the school and create their own initiatives for promoting wellbeing.

4. Community Wellbeing – Have the students research local organisations that promote wellbeing. They can then come up with ideas for how the school can partner with these organisations to promote wellbeing within the local community.

5. Ambassadors for Wellbeing – Have the students create a team of wellbeing ambassadors within the school. These ambassadors can work to promote wellbeing initiatives within the school and serve as a resource for students who need help.
