Happy World Bee Day! 🐝 Today, May 20th, is a day dedicated to recognising the role bees and other pollinators play in our ecosystem. 🐝🐝🐝

Here at Mash.ie, we want to celebrate World Bee Day with primary school teachers, offering up five teaching ideas to help you bring the message of the importance of bees to your classroom. 🍯

1. Show your students a video about the life cycle of a bee and have them create a timeline of the life cycle. 🐝

2. Introduce your students to the importance of pollinators with a fun β€œpollinator game”. 🐝

3. Make a β€œbee home” with your students – provide them with materials like wood, straw, and stones and have them build a bee home that can be placed in your school garden. 🐝

4. Have your students conduct a survey for their classmates to find out what their favourite pollinator is and why. 🐝

5. Read a book about bees and pollinators to your students and have them create a poster about the importance of pollinators. 🐝
