According to RTE News2Day, a school in Drogheda is keeping alpacas in their school for a few weeks. Many schools around the country keep animals like chickens or pet dogs but we’ve never heard of a school with alpacas. We thought it might be fun to suggest some ideas if your school ever took in a couple of alpacas!
1. Introduction to Alpacas: A lesson introducing students to the unique and fascinating world of alpacas. They can learn about alpaca characteristics, history, and how to care for them.
2. Alpaca Fun Day: A day of outdoor fun and activities focused around alpacas. Students can learn to groom them and get to know their personalities.
3. Alpaca Art: A lesson in which students can creatively express themselves by creating art (paintings, drawings, sculptures, etc.) inspired by the alpacas.
4. Alpaca Science: A hands-on lesson in which students can explore the science behind alpacas and learn about their biology, behaviour, and more.
