Mash.ie security update — 3rd November 2026
Mash.ie has been undergoing a security update since Sunday, 1st November. We had hoped the work would be completed by Monday, 2nd November, but it is taking longer than anticipated. Our developers now expect it to be completed within the next day or two.
Here’s what this means for customers and sellers.
Customers
You can continue to browse and shop on Mash.ie as normal. However, some customers may see a warning when downloading a purchase, or find that their browser prevents the download.
If your download does not start, right-click the download link, select Copy link address, and paste it into your browser’s address bar. The download should then begin. If you still have difficulty, please contact Mash.ie for help.
Sellers
Seller dashboards are temporarily unavailable during the update. If you try to access yours, you may see a 403 error.
If you urgently need access, please send Mash.ie a private message with your public IP address. Our developers can add it to the approved access list so you can use your dashboard while the work continues. Please do not post your IP address in the comments.
Why is this update happening?
Our hosting provider has experienced several cyberattacks on its servers in recent weeks and is adding extra layers of security as a precaution. This update is not a response to a data breach at Mash.ie. There has been no breach of Mash.ie data.
We’re sorry for the disruption, particularly for sellers who need dashboard access, and appreciate your patience while this work is completed.
We’ll continue to share updates on this blog page.
