Welcome to Bike Week! πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ #bikeweek

As primary school teachers, we know our students are keen to get out and explore, but it is important to emphasise bike safety. Here are five fun and engaging teaching ideas to help you teach bike safety during Bike Week:

1. Make a poster. Ask your students to create a poster to help others learn about bike safety. You can add fun elements, such as having the students draw bikes and helmets, or even writing a rap about bike safety.

2. Hold a bike-themed quiz. Test your students’ knowledge about bike safety through a quiz. This is a great way to reinforce the topics you have been teaching.

3. Have a bike check-up. Have your students check their bikes for any problems and make sure they are safe to ride. This is a great way to get them involved in the learning process.

4. Create a bike safety video. Ask your students to create a video to showcase good bike safety. From proper signalling to safe clothing, there’s plenty of ideas that can be done!
