Celebrating diversity is very important in the classroom and it was great to see RTE News2Day marking the day with a lovely interview with Isabelle Harding.

How about you get your students to watch the interview with Molly from RTE News2Day and discuss all the adventures that Isabelle has had? Students can also explore the concept of diversity and discuss why it is important to appreciate and celebrate the differences between people.

They can research and discuss World Down Syndrome Day and the “With Us, Not For Us” theme. They might also contribute to a work of art to express their understanding of the theme “With Us, Not For Us” and how this relates to World Down Syndrome Day.
