World Autism Awareness Day falls on Sunday April 02nd this year. There are several ways to mark Autism Awareness;
- Light up your home, school or classroom in blue which is the colour associated with autism awareness
- Organise or participate in fundraising events for autism research or support organisations
- Share information about autism on social media or with friends and family to raise awareness and understanding
- Volunteer with local autism organisations or offer support to families affected by autism
- Educate yourself and others about the needs and experiences of people with autism in order to promote inclusion and acceptance
