National Drawing Day falls on Saturday 15th May this year. National Drawing Day is celebrated annually and is a day dedicated to promoting and celebrating the art of drawing, encouraging people of all ages and skill levels to take up a pencil and create something.
Why not mark the day and celebrate with your class, here are a few of our suggestions;
- host a drawing contest
- Creating a collaborative mural
- Arrange a still life drawing session, or
- Inviting a local artist or art teacher to give a demonstration or workshop.
- Arrange for students to create their own comics or draw their favourite characters
